Offset Leg “Disconnect” Advantages

BlazeFrame “OL” Offset Leg “Disconnect”Advantages

  1. “OL” offset leg profiles have variable “upper leg” lengths accommodating required spray applied fireproofing materials and thicknesses for UL certified ratings on independently protected substrates. “Pre-track” installation provides horizontal support enabling spray applied fireproofing to fill and seal areas including flutes above walls, space above offset legs, and around structural supports during application.
  2. Cured intumescent located behind wall sheathing provides unencumbered joint protection eliminating overlapping sprays or caulks on to both sheathing and spray applied fireproofing providing a “disconnect” avoiding fatigue or dislodging of the fireproofing substrate during assembly life cycle.
  3. Parallel solid “upper” legs provide continuous additional protection against smoke, fire, and hose stream in cases of fire proofing materials dislodging or degrading.
  4. Offset “lower” legs provide installer a reference point during application of spray applied fireproofing and when scrapping overspray ensuring required thickness of fireproofing materials is applied and remains in place around beam, column, or on deck.
