Vertical Joint Profile Productivity Advantages
- BlazeFrame vertical profile “VT” installed and overlapped by wall sheathing provides rated protection of vertical wall to wall joint. Installed during framing installation enables inspection to be completed at same time as head of wall and framing inspection.
- Improves production over current typical construction methods by reducing inspections and mobilization setups for construction to 2 times:
- Install BlazeFrame (intersection and head of wall) and stud framing – inspection of framing and fire stop
- Install all wall sheathing over intersecting wall and “furred or wrapped” column/wall during one mobilization – inspection of drywall application
- Eliminates typical current methods/steps including:
- Mobilizing to install just the wall sheathing on the intersecting wall and wait for fire caulk application
- Mobilization to fire caulk vertical joint – wait for inspection
- Remobilize to hang sheathing on “furred or wrapped” walls
