Void Patch Angle Installation

BlazeFrame “VPA” Void Patch Angle Installation

1. Cut out one side and web of BlazeFrame track profile to accommodate installation around Wall Cavity Penetrations (i.e pipe sleeves, conduit, etc…) and fasten to substrate
2. Cut section of VPA profile (using same width intumescent strip as track profile) a min 2” longer (min 1” overlap each end) than void
3. Peel back intumescent on installed profile at both ends of the void and insert VPA (intumescent facing outward) into void sliding 1/2” leg between track profile and substrate
4. Fasten the VPA with framing fasteners at each end into the leg of installed profile
5. Reapply intumescent “knife cutting” off excess so that intumescent strip on VPA and opposing ends of void in installed profile are in butted contact.
6. For voids on both sides of Wall Cavity Penetrations repeat steps 2 through 5 installing additional VPA Profile on the opposing side of the wall cavity
