Joint Assemblies Sound Rated for a Lifetime

BlazeFrame profiles directly connected to substrates provide UL certified joint assemblies which experience no fatigue to joint, flute fill, or substrate materials (up to seismic movement) providing same “seal” from installation through lifetime of assembly. Unencumbered aesthetically smaller installed joints, 100% movement capabilities, and early unobstructed inspections are achieved using BlazeFrame.

Our cured intumescent/metal framing profiles eliminate potential drying out/cracking, loss of adhesion, sagging, dislodging and thinning of mastic “wet-applied’ materials (typical results due to deflection movement or aging of materials).

Assemblies utilizing BlazeFrame profiles provide unencumbered joints allowing for aesthetically smaller installed joints and 100% movement capabilities.

Wall partition details certified at NVLAP accredited Western Electro-Acoustic Laboratory in accordance with ASTM E 90-04 – Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of Building Partitions.

   • 1/2″ open gap between wall sheathing and overhead
   • Wall sheathing overlapping and in contact with intumescent material
2. Preformed Deck Plug
   • Min. 7 pcf mineral wool density
   • Compressed a min 33% and completely filling fluted areas
3. Wall Assembly
   • 25ga stud – 3 5/8″ wide
   • Batt R-11 fiberglass insulation (3 1/2″ thickness where installed)
   • 5/8″ thick type wallboard
